What does the video resizer do?
The Olli for Brands video resizer reframes product videos for marketplace listings and social feeds. Pick a 1:1, 4:5, 9:16 or 16:9 frame, or type a custom width and height, then choose whether to crop the video to fill the frame or keep the whole picture and add a background around it. You can also set the longest side, trim long clips to a maximum length and pick a quality preset for a smaller file. For the exact size a listing needs, check the size your seller panel or the app's upload screen asks for.
Every video is processed in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and you do not need an account. Once the page has loaded, the tool keeps working even if you go offline. You can add up to 10 videos per batch and download them one by one or as a single zip file.
The resizer reads MP4, MOV and WebM videos and saves every result as MP4: H.264 video with AAC audio where the browser can encode audio, otherwise video only. It runs in Chrome and Edge on desktop and Android, which include the video encoder the tool needs.

Why does the video resizer need Chrome or Edge?
The resizer encodes video with WebCodecs, a video encoder built into the browser, so nothing has to be uploaded to a server. Chrome and Edge on desktop and Android include it. In a browser without WebCodecs the tool cannot encode, and it offers a link you can copy to open the page in Chrome instead.
Does the resized video keep its sound?
Yes, wherever the browser can encode audio. Sound that is already AAC is copied as it is, and other sound is converted to AAC. If the browser cannot encode audio, or the source sound cannot be read, the video is saved without sound and its result says so.
How do I make the video file smaller?
Pick a quality preset: High keeps the most detail, Balanced makes a smaller file that suits most listings and posts, and Small file makes the smallest. Setting a lower longest side or a maximum duration also shrinks the file. Each result shows its new file size before you download it.
Does the video resizer upload my videos?
No. The Olli for Brands video resizer runs entirely in your browser: your videos are read, resized, encoded and zipped on your own device and are never sent to Olli for Brands or any other server. That is also why it keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.

What does pad vs cover mean?
Cover crops the video so it fills the exact frame you set, trimming whatever does not fit; nothing is stretched. Pad keeps the whole picture and adds a white, light grey or black background around it to reach the frame. Use Pad when the full product must stay in view and Cover when a little cropping is fine.
