Convert HEIC to JPG or PNG in your browser

Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPEG, PNG or WebP files you can upload anywhere. Free, no account, and your files never leave your browser.

JPEG suits most listings. Safari cannot save WebP, so it gives PNG instead.

Lower it for smaller files; 92% is hard to tell from the original.

Leave blank to keep each photo's size. Smaller photos are never enlarged.

Leave blank for no cap. Ignored for PNG, which cannot be shrunk by lowering quality.

How it works

What does the HEIC converter do?

The Olli for Brands HEIC converter turns the HEIC and HEIF photos an iPhone saves into JPEG, PNG or WebP. Choose the output format, and optionally a quality, a longest side in pixels or a maximum file size, then drop up to 50 photos. Download each one on its own or the whole batch as one zip file.

Every file is converted in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and you do not need an account. After your first photo converts, the decoder is cached and the page keeps working without a connection.

Most browsers cannot display HEIC, so listing forms and seller panels generally expect JPEG or PNG. JPEG keeps product photos small; PNG keeps every pixel when you need a lossless copy. Any JPEG, PNG or WebP file you add is passed through unchanged.

A HEIC file that holds several images, such as a burst, converts to its first image. A Live Photo converts to its still frame, without the motion.

Step by step

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Pick the formatJPEG for listings and most uploads, PNG for a lossless copy, WebP for small files on the web. Set the quality for JPEG and WebP.
  2. Set a size, if you need oneType a longest side in pixels to shrink big photos in proportion, or a maximum file size for JPEG and WebP. Leave both blank to keep each photo as it is.
  3. Add your photosDrop up to 50 HEIC or HEIF files onto the tool, or choose them from your device. Each one converts as soon as it is added.
  4. DownloadSave the photos one by one, or all of them at once as a zip file.

FAQs

HEIC converter FAQs

Does converting HEIC to JPG lose quality?

A little, as with any JPEG save. JPEG is lossy, so the converter encodes at the quality you set, 92% by default, which is hard to tell from the original at normal viewing sizes. The HEIC is first decoded to a lossless image, so the JPEG save is the only lossy step. For an exact copy of every pixel, choose PNG.

Does the HEIC converter upload my photos?

No. The Olli for Brands HEIC converter runs entirely in your browser: your photos are decoded, converted and zipped on your own device and are never sent to Olli for Brands or any other server. After your first photo converts, the decoder is cached and the page keeps working without a connection.

How do I make my iPhone save JPEG instead of HEIC?

Open Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPEG. Photos you have already taken stay HEIC, so convert those here.

Why use JPEG for product listings?

Most browsers cannot display HEIC, so listing forms and seller panels generally expect JPEG or PNG. JPEG keeps product photos small, so they upload quickly and stay under file-size caps. Check your marketplace's own image rules for the formats it accepts.

Should I choose PNG or JPEG?

Choose JPEG for photos: the files are much smaller and look the same. Choose PNG when you need a lossless copy, for example to keep editing, or when a form asks for PNG. A photo saved as PNG is often several times larger, and the maximum file size cannot shrink it.

Will rotated iPhone photos come out sideways?

No. An iPhone stores a photo's rotation separately from its pixels, and the decoder applies that stored rotation, so your photos come out upright, the way they look on your phone.

How many photos can I convert at once?

Up to 50 per batch, with no limit on how many batches you run. There is no file-size limit of our own: your device does the work, so very large photos just take longer. The converter is free, with no account and no watermark.
